After the 1999-2002 business years MOL paid HUF 55 dividend per share, due to gas losses / regulatory risks of gas business and large-scale investment made.

Following the implementation of EU conform gas business regulation, completion of large investments of MOL Group and improvement in industry environment, MOL significantly increased dividend level paid after the 2005-2006 business years.

The dividend paid after 2005 financial year per share was HUF 321, which represents 14% payout ratio. In the next year the dividend increased further reaching 508 HUF, while for the 2007 business year MOL paid 883 HUF per share, representing 40% dividend payment ratio. In addition at the Annual General Meeting, shareholders approved the resolution to decrease the share capital with 5%.
