Purchase of treasury shares

MOL Hungarian Oil and Gas Public Limited Company hereby informs capital market participants, that on 23 May 2006, based on the announcement made on 22 May 2006, MOL bought 23,977 treasury shares at an average price of 21,121 HUF/share on the Budapest Stock Exchange through ING Bank Rt as investment service provider. Following this transaction MOL owns 43,977 "A" series and 578 "C" series ordinary shares.
