MOL and the University of Veszprém signed a joint research and development agreement

In recent months, innovation emerged into notice both in Hungary and world-wide. Business and professional circles univocally agree that business-oriented value-adding development is a key enabler of economic progress.

In the light of this approach and new challenges, MOL and the University of Veszprém decided to renew the framework of their joint research and development cooperation.  This year, the MOL Group supports research activities focused on crude oil, plastics processing and development of renewable energy sources. Result-oriented programs launched within the framework of joint efforts will focus on production of environment-friendly and high energy content gasoline and gas oil products, development of special bitumen products suitable for the domestic road system, as well as implementation of waste water- and air pollution-oriented environment protection initiatives.  While technical results can be directly utilised for business purposes by MOL Group companies, research results will be published via jointly developed scientific papers and conference presentations with a view to facilitate international involvement of domestic research and development specialists.

In order to attain these objectives, MOL supports modernisation of the University's asset pool and, in addition, contributes to domestic and international continued training of chemical engineering students and young professionals.
