Disclosure of Interest in MOL Magyar Olaj-és Gázipari Nyilvánosan Működő Részvénytársaság

We are writing to you to notify you that The Capital Group Companies, Inc. ("CGC") holds less than 5% of MOL Magyar Olaj- és Gázipari Nyilvánosan Működő Részvénytársaság. CGC is a holding company for several subsidiary companies engaged in the investment management business. The investment management business is divided into two operational groups, represented by Capital Research and Management Company ("CRMC") and Capital Group International ("CGII").

CRMC is a U.S. -based investment adviser that manages The American Funds Group of mutual funds. CRMC manages the assets of the individual mutual funds based on investment management agreements in place between CRMC and each of the mutual funds. CRMC neither controls the mutual fund companies nor does it hold a participation in any of them.

CGII is the parent company of five companies that serve as investment advisers to various institutional clients around the globe: Capital Guardian Trust Company in the U.S., Capital International, Inc. ("CII") in the U.S. and Singapore, Capital International Limited in the United Kingdom, Capital International S.A. in Switzerland and Capital International K.K. in Japan.

Neither CGC nor any of its subsidiaries own shares of the companies they invest in for their own account. Rather, the shares reported in this disclosure are owned by numerous accounts under the discretionary investment management of one or more of the investment management companies described above for the CGII companies. For the CRMC holdings, the shares are owned by a couple mutual funds. Furthermore, CRMC and CGII act separately from one another and from CGC in exercising investment discretion over their managed accounts. In addition, the individual mutual funds delegate their voting authority to CRMC and some of the accounts delegate their voting authority to the CGII management companies.

As of 29 May 2007, CGC held 4,917,366 shares, representing 4.9957% of the outstanding shares of the company. The holdings are broken down as follows:

·         CIL: 0 shares, representing 0.0000%

·         CII: 221,225 shares, representing 0.2248%
