MOL provides 2 million cubic meters of gas to Serbia

Today MOL provides with 2 million cubic meters of gas to Serbia from the domestic extra production

Thanks to the responsible and disciplined consumer behaviour of the Hungarian population, yesterday’s domestic consumption was less than expected: only 61 million cubic meters. The currently available gas sources allow us to temporarily help out Serbia with a 2 million cubic meter amount of gas which is provided by MOL’s extra domestic production.

„We have been emphasising for a long time that the countries within the region should develop a common strategy, a common pipeline network (NETS) and storage capacities. This way supporting each other and reducing common defencelessness would not be just an ad hoc act, but an institutional solution” – stated Lajos Alács, Gas and Power Executive Vice President.

The company issued an immediate measure to ensure the extra -ordinary gas amount to Serbia and in a few hours the transport can start.  

The technical background is assured by the system operator FGSZ member of MOL Group and by the Serbian company SRBIJAGAS.
