Managing expatriate positions Expatriates are employed in strategic positions or where there is a need to transfer skills to local employees so that they may undertake the position at a later stage. In the major companies of the group (MOL Plc., Slovnaft a.s., TVK Plc.) all the members of the management are local employees. In some subsidiaries (except of Hungary and Slovakia) expatriates can be found in the senior managerial (and sometimes CFO) positions. The interests of MOL Group manpower must be ensured during the recruitment process. Open positions are in most cases firstly announced within MOL Group – among companies where candidates meeting the requirements may well be found. External searches may only be launched thereafter if necessary. Vacancies that require special expertise and can only be filled through the open labour market are not advertised internally. Managerial positions are best filled internally as successor can be best found from the internal managerial pool. |
