Comprehensive risk Assessment

In line with MOL Group HSE management system, all hazards to health, safety and environment have to be identified and associated risks must be assessed and managed. To provide a comprehensive corporate framework for HSE risk assessment, a project called ’COMPASS’ (comprehensive risk assessment) was started in 2009.

The programme uses ten internationally accepted risk assessment methods that cover the workplace, technological processes and environmentally-related areas of risk analysis (HAZID, ENVID, JSA, EIA, etc.). Together with proposed risk control measures this information will be put into a Group level Risk register, with which we will achieve not only consistent and transparent assessment practice but an overall HSE Risk Map of the Group as well.

More information on the progress of COMPASS can be found in MOL Group’s Annual Reports: 2009 and 2010.
