Emergency Preparedness and Response
The aim of our Emergency Preparedness and Response system is to ensure that in case of an incident, all necessary actions are taken for the protection of the public, the environment and MOL Group’s workforce and assets. The risk of outbreaks of fire is a problem that is faced by the entire oil and petrochemical industry. It is therefore in our best interest to reduce this risk and increase the level of general fire protection. By enforcing current regulations, we continuously increase the level of fire safety. The investments we have made in the utilization of modern materials, structures and technologies have helped us reduce the risk of fires and their potential damage. Even though the main core of our fire safety strategy is prevention, the development of modern and effective fire-detection and built-in fire-fighting systems, the renewal of fire-fighting water networks as well as the use of most modern fire-fighting agents and equipment have further contributed to the improvement of the efficiency of MOL Group’s fire-fighting capabilities. For more information about Emergency Preparedness and Response can be found in MOL Group’s Annual Reports (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011). |
