Sri Lanka, Pakistan

Our rescue team has helped needy people in many remote locations of the world. We are proud to have set up an effective rescue team that can be mobilised within days, and sent anywhere in the world.

Sri Lanka Rescue Programme

After the tsunami  killed nearly 200,000 Sri Lankans, in January 2005, we requested, for the first time, the Slovakian Complex Central Rescue Service.

Assistance to earthquake-stricken Pakistan

The same experienced team was asked to assist in rescue activities after the Transylvanian floods, in May 2005. In October 2005, after an earthquake killed more than 50,000 Pakistani’s, it was obvious that the 'MOL for Pakistan' rescue team should be composed of the same experts. MOL also provided humanitarian aid to Pakistan - tents, blankets, canned foodstuffs and other materials of immediate help were sent to succour people in desperate need.

Professional aptitude and success

After the 7 day Pakistan mission, team members had only a few days in which to recuperate at home, before they returned to deliver professional training to local Emergency Management forces
