Better efficiency

Due to its low sulphur and metal contents its pollution to the environment is low; its low pour point makes its use easy and the combustion improving additive provides a better efficiency.

Advice and recommendation for use

Maintenance before operation

Before you convert to extra light heating oil, in order to ensure a safe operation it is recommended to execute the following maintenance and modifications, both for the block burners (that were originally constructed for fuel oil), and for the fuelling equipments:

• technical reviewing, repairing, or replacing the pumps, the vaporiser, the flame tube or the magnetic valve; replacing filters
• replacing the rubber seals, the rubber connecting lines and the rubber components
• cleaning the stokehold and the flue
• adjusting burners, measuring the fuelling efficiency and the harmful substance emissions

Conditions for safe operation

• a storage tank installed either underground or in a confined room, with suitable oil supply system
• a daily tank pre-heating system ensuring at least 20 ˚C oil temperature
• regular inspection and maintenance of the oil burners, regular monitoring of the distribution disks in the burners
• removal of potential deposits of coke and other combustion products
• regular cleaning of the nozzles and pump filters
• continuous monitoring of the oil temperature.
