MOL’s light fuel oil’s qualitative and firing parameters comply with the regulations. Due to its low sulphur and metal content, its pollution to the environment is low if proper flue gas after-treatment systems are installed.

Advice and recommendation for use

While using fuel oils, the firing specifications (that are in line with the quality parameters) must be kept. 

• Pumping: Due to its viscosity and high pour point the product can be pumped at 60 Co.
• Vaporisation: In order to ensure the proper vaporisation a pre-heater should be used, which can provide the heating of the product to 120 Co.
• Control: When using a light fuel oil both the adherence to the suitable firing process parameters, and a regular inspection and maintenance of the condition of the boiler and the flue gas discharge system are necessary.
