Wholesale Marketing

Within the Refining & Marketing Division, Marketing is responsible for the wholesale marketing of fuels and fuel oils, both domestically and abroad. MOL Group’s target market is the Central & Eastern European region, which covers Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Romania, Serbia & Montenegro, Bosnia Herzegovina, Croatia and Slovenia. The range of products distributed includes fuels for land vehicles and aircraft, fuel oils of various grades, LPG, bitumens, as well as petrochemical products.

MOL Group sells petroleum products to customers of diverse size and activity.

Its customers include the Hungarian subsidiaries of multinational oil companies, non-branded “white” retail stations, along with end-users who operate in different fields, such as the public sector, transportation, industry and agriculture.

The Refining & Marketing Division wholesales motor fuels (motor gasoline and diesel), heating oil, fuel oil, JET A-1 aircraft fuel, LPG products (including autogas), bitumens, petcoke and a wide range of chemical products. MOL Group provides high quality products to meet the most stringent specifications.

Wholesale Marketing provides its customers with a complex product and service package, which means that in addition to selling fuels and other products, it also offers value-added services related to their transportation and use. From our wholesale storage depots, fuels may be transported by tanker lorry operated by MOL, the customer, or third party carrier. To clients undertaking volume commitments for periods of not less than one year, we offer preferential contractual terms and a diverse range of services.

MOL Group continues to focus on increasing direct sales to end-users, as well as on maintaining outstanding levels of security of supply. Supply Chain Management has been very successful in meeting this target over the past few years, enabling MOL Group to react quickly and flexibly to any market changes.

Thanks to its high quality products and services, MOL Plc. appears on the list of Qualified Bidders published by the Hungarian Public Procurement Council every year. The Sales organisation is ISO 9002 Quality Assurance Standard certified.

Wholesale Customer Service

Our Wholesale Customer Service began operations in February 2005. The primary objective of this unit is to provide better and more accurate services to customers, to manage incoming information in a standardised manner, and continuously to analyse customer inquiries and monitor demands deriving from these activities. Its scope of operation was subsequently augmented to include telephone-based Customer Service Sales Order Entry that takes incoming phone calls ‘live’ between 7am and 5pm. Over and above telephone-based order entry, the service also provides information – following their identification – to contractual partners about the status of outstanding orders, as well as billing issues. Information is provided on various products and services as well.
