What do you need to pay attention to?

Problems related to motor diesels can occur mainly in the winter. It’s worth following our advices.

• Choose heatable or water separator filter
• Keep hold of a spare filter as well which should be kept warm.
• In case of older cars clean the tank and the fuel-supply system!
• Check the fuel pipes and the gaskets
• Check the air filter as. If the filter is wet and/or blocked, change it
• Start your trip only if the accumulator is in an adequate condition and has proper capacity
• Use diesel with high cold-tolerance
• Assure proper compression
• Use only electric hot air blower for warming up under extreme winter circumstances
• Run the engine frequently during the night under -20 °C
