Analysis of simple and complex technology systems with automated process-simulation technology

The paper presents a useful application extension based on programmability of Hysys process simulations software, during which we create a mutual and clear automatic interface between the MS Excel and Hysys process simulator softwares.

Using this interface we will be able to perform a series of automatic simulation calculation controlled from MS Excel and display the series of result appearing in the simulator in MS Excel, using its sophisticated functionalities. As part of results of such calculation series we can in fact generate a structured set of data, actually a database, for the analysed specific, simple or complex technology equipments. The resulting database will enable us to define / analyse the optimum and unfavourable operating range of the targeted technology system. We present the applicability of this method through actual examples.
