Conversion increasing at MOL, Slovnaft Refinery vacuum hydrotreated unit

This paper is focused on the diesel yield increasing at the MOL Slovnaft VGH unit by the WABT temperature increasing with 2,4 and 5°C. The yield changes were monitored, while the unit operation parameters and the products qualities were kept.

The best results were obsrved at 4°C where the VGH unit can make 58 MTPD more diesel in this mode. Of course, the hydrogen consumption is increased and the catalyst cycle life is getting shorter, but according to the present situation it is quite profitable.
