In the Power Plant, the boilers generate steam for a common header and demand steam required by the process is considerably less then total capabilities of all boilers.
The steam load is therefore distributed between the boilers such that one or more is bellowing its nominal operating capacity. The task of the optimalization (dispatching program) will be to find the best distribution of load between the boilers which results in the lowest overall costs. In the simple cases where there are differences in the operation cost by each boiler, there is no problem deciding on the proper loading strategy. Lowest overall costs will be achieved when the incremental costs the boilers are equal.
Solution is implemented boilers dispatching program into the Power Plant control system with options switch boiler to dispatch program or not. Dispatch program will not be usable in the winter time because boilers are operating at the maximum or near to maximum load in this season. Optimalization will bring lowest cost for heat and electricity production.
